Teo Yan Choo is a nursing lecturer teaching in Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah , Institute of Health Siences, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (PAPRSB , I.H.S). Ms Teo major in General and adult nursing. She also has several years of experiences in teaching specialize areas such Critical Nursing and Emergency nursing.
Prior joining the UBD she presented two papers during the International Nursing Conference (INC) organised by former College of Nursing, Brunei Darussalam; Curriculum innovation: Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)- Making a difference in the assessment of clinical competence of nursing students (5th INC-2002) and Nurse Practitioner: Brunei Perspective (9th INC-2010)).
Her current scope of teaching are mostly Problem-based learning (PBL) and Case Based Learning (CBL) and others. Which she plans to write paper(s) on her teaching experiences by utilising PBL and CBL as teaching strategies for Nursing and Midwifery students.
She also interested in exploring various stress management strategies in providing support to the undergraduate to cope with the demands and challenges of study in Universiti Brunei Darussalam. In 2013, Ms Teo as one of the research team members, published an research article on Biochemical and pyschometric evaluation of self-healing Qigong as a stress reduction tool among first year nursing and midwifery students.
