ABOUT ME

Kong Ho utilizes his bicultural background as a teaching artist professionally trained in both Chinese and Western visual art to teach as associate professor of art and program leader of arts and creative technology at the University of Brunei Darussalam, Brunei, since 2011. Prior to his teaching job in Brunei, Ho taught at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford for ten years. Ho has received a Visiting Research Fellowship (2013); Fulbright U.S. Scholarship (2009-2010), taught mural painting at the National Academy of Art in Sofia, Bulgaria, for 5 months; VSA Arts Teaching Artist Fellowship (2008-09); Hong Kong Baptist University Fellowship (2006); Sasakawa Fellowship (2005); International VSA arts Festival Fellowship (2004); Faculty Diversity Fellowship (2003); Fellowship for Artistic Development (1999); and Yamagata International Visual Arts Institute Fellowship (1996). Always looking for new opportunities to inform the public of the educational and cultural value of mural art, he founded the Hong Kong Mural Society in 1997. Since then, he has designed and painted numerous school and community murals in the past 18 years.
