I joined UBD as a lecturer in Chemical Sciences programme in 2018 after completing my PhD at University College London.

My PhD project was on the electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction on iron sulfide nanoparticles and its characterisation via in-situ spectroelectrochemistry. I was supervised by Prof Katherine Holt and I collaborated with experts in inorganic and computational chemistry throughout my PhD. The project also involved working at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility in Grenoble France to perform in-situ electrochemistry and XAS. I have presented my work in a number of conferences in the UK and Europe including giving a talk at Electrochem conference at Durham University.

My current research interests include a variety of interdisplinary fields. I am involved in active projects in development of sensors for diagnostics applications, development of sensors for food applications, water and waste remediation, carbon dioxide reduction applications and spectroelectrochemistry.
