Dk Yusimah is a lecturer at Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education (SHBIE). Her areas of expertise are on Pedagogy and Social Studies in Primary Education. Currently, her teaching modules are Master of Teaching (Primary) on Social Studies, National and Identity Education in Early Childhood Education (Master of Teaching), Current Issues and Trends in Education, Introduction to Education and Teaching, General Methods of Teaching for Diploma in Education and Diploma in Technical Education (In-service teacher). Dk Yusimah had her Bachelor of Arts (BA) Primary in Education from Universiti Brunei Darussalam and Master of Arts (MA) in Education from University of Wales Institute Cardiff, United Kingdom. Currently, she doing her PhD in Education in SHBIE. Her research interests are in Primary Education particularly on Social Studies, student learning skills, student engagement, classroom management and class sizes. Currently, she is involved with the Initial Teacher Preparation team and Clinical Specialist for Master of Teaching (Primary Education).
