Bachelor of Biotechnology (Hons) from University of Queensland, Australia and PhD in Medical Science from Kagawa University, Japan.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

- Rare sugar study- Studying the anti-cancer effects of D-allose in cancer cell lines, clinical trial of D-allulose to study its anti-diabetic effect in Bruneians.
- Healthy food development- Development of Brunei traditional food using rare sugar D-allulose, which has anti-diabetic and anti-obesity properties.
- Brunei traditional plant study- studying different types of Brunei traditional plants for anti-diabetes and anti-cancer properties.
- Neuroinfection study in Brunei- Development of the blood brain barrier (primary and cell line) and studying the pathogenesis of dengue and bacterial meningitis.
