Dr Saiful Azmi Husain received BSc Ed degree from Universiti Brunei Darussalam in 1995, MSc Degree from University of East Anglia, Norwich, England (2000) and PhD degree in Mathematical Sciences from the Australian National University, Canberra, Australia in 2005. He is currently a senior lecturer, Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Brunei. Most of his research works are mainly focusing on the mathematical modelling and simulation of linear viscoelastic materials and he had undertaken quite number of research projects and has academic network with Australian, U.S. and Indian institutions. He was a former UBD|IBM Technical Coordinator as well as a former Deputy Director of the Centre, collaboratively working with researchers at IBM India and IBM, Watson, U.S. & Brazil on cutting-edge smarter planet modelling topics on regional climate-weather modeling, renewable energy and flood forecasting, using high-performance computing facilities at UBD, which resulted to some high quality top tier publications and several joint patents of commercial values.
