Hafiizh Hashim is an Assistant Lecturer in the Academic of Brunei Studies. His thematic research interest is in the relationship between historical development, social change and political structures in Southeast Asia. This work attempts to characterise and explain dynamic and durable forms of security culture and divergent security policies in the region. He successfully defended his thesis on the title: Constructing Security Policy in Southeast Asia: Historical and Social Dynamics. His work has been published in journals including the Kyoto Review and Akademika.
